The CSU Extension Office can help you with these tests!!

 The Colorado State University Extension Office offers “free” soil containers and water bottles. 
Come by our office for bottles at the Glockson Building located at 1120 Summit Street in Norwood, CO 81423. Our office phone is 970-327-4393

A Soil Test

A soil test is the best way to check the growing potential of your garden. CSU Extension provides plastic tubes and forms are online.. Here is the Link below for the soil test form for you to use for your soil sample if you want to use your own baggie of soil which should be “air-dried” before sending.

A Water Test

CSU Extension offers water bottles for tests for your farm, well and drinking water. They give a mineral analysis. Below is the link to the Form for all tests.

 Bacteria Water Test Kits are Available

Here’s the some information about your Bacteria Water Test Bottles. You can only use the bottles provided by the Health Department. Please call our Office to pick up your bottle at the Glockson (County) Building. For questions, please call us @ 970-327-4393.

REMEMBER You Must Mail $20.00 for Total Coliform/w E.coli (BACTERIA) Water Sample and IT MUST BE MAILED MONDAY ONLY BECAUSE IT CAN NOT SIT OVER 30 HOURS IN THE LAB.
